The Learn to Swim team is passionate about building water safety knowledge, confidence, and accurate swimming fundamentals. We value our team’s accumulated professional knowledge as it demonstrates a commitment and love of teaching. Our teachers are experienced, Austswim qualified with tried and tested swimming teaching methods.
Skills beyond the pool
We don’t just teach quality swimming, we aim to instil, resilience, patience, self-awareness, self-reflection, perseverance and taking pride in achievements. Our theme throughout each level of swimming is developing a supportive culture and developing the person, (not just the athlete) and it all starts here.
Bond with your child
The early years are the most important in a child’s life. This is where the most learning occurs and strongest connections between caregiver and child. Swimming lessons are a perfect way to forget about the business of life and solely focus on your child.
Adult Learn to Swim
Learning to swim is important for everyone – including adults. We provide private adult learn to swim lessons. This can be arranged with a friend or just by yourself. It’s never to late to learn.
Parent involvement is an important aspect to swimmer progression. Children love nothing more than hearing positive encouragement. You can see your swimmer’s achievements ticked off in our portal.
Direct Debit fortnightly payments are arranged through the parent portal. You will also be able to view our Terms and Conditions on the Portal.

swim all year
To retain momentum, we swim all year round, not term – by – term. However, we understand that there is a life beyond the pool, therefore families are provided with 4 weeks holiday credit per year and 1 make-up lesson per month.

To ensure we are meeting your requirements and that we place your child in the appropriate group, we will organise a 15-minute swim assessment. Email or phone to book your assessment.
free babies - water acquaintance
Join our 3 to 6 month old FREE ‘tiny bubs’ water bonding program.
The three levels in Water Acquaintance focus on introductory water association. This is the essential foundation of water confidence.
Each of the three levels is wonderful bonding time with your baby where you are both learning the importance of water safety.
beginner swimmers
Little Splashers – 2-3 years a transitional class where swimmers are developing their confidence without their parents in the water.
Little floaters - 3+ You will see your swimmer starting to understand how to position their body independently to allow for arcuate kicking, floating and using ‘big arms’.
Turtles – Swimmers are developing their big arms and are preparing to move towards the big pool.
stroke development
Pelicans – Our freestyle is progressing; we are starting to breathe bilaterally and develop new strokes.
Amberjacks – Working on technique, building stamina and pushing towards mini squad.
Mini Squads - Swimmers will enhance their stroke through a variety of drills and commence preparing for squads by learning to read the clock and developing race techniques. These levels include Dolphin, Hammerhead and Mangrove Jacks.
